3. Within the RAPI platform, you must take into account the corresponding STATUS change:

States to be used by the doctoral student

- Registered: This is the default status when a Training Activity or Research Plan is created. Initial status not visible to the thesis director or the tutor , which allows the editing of the Training Activities and Research Plan fields, until the PhD student completes them and wants to pass them on to supervisors for review

- For review: Status that allows the doctoral student to make the training activities and the research plan visible to the thesis director and tutor, and therefore, they will no longer be editable by the doctoral student.

States to be used by the thesis director and/or tutor

- Accepted: Final status that allows the tutor or thesis supervisor to validate and complete the management of the activity or chapter of the research plan.

- Pending amendment: Status that allows the tutor, thesis director or Programme coordinator to indicate to the doctoral student that there are aspects of the Activity or the Research Plan that require an amendment or improvement. So the fields are once again editable by the PhD student.

- Rejected: Final status that allows the tutor or thesis director to reject this training activity or the research plan. So this documentation will no longer be evaluated by the Academic Committee, nor can the fields be edited to make changes

RAPI INSTRUCTIONSNS FOR THESIS TUTORIAL/DIRECTION

1. Access to RAPI

  • Thesis supervisors and Tutors linked to the UdL: They access RAPI with the institutional credentials of the UdL to follow up on the doctoral students assigned to them.
  • Thesis supervisors external to the UdL: They access RAPI with the credentials sent by email from the Doctoral School (escoladoctorat@udl.cat), at the time they are assigned as thesis supervisors by the Academic Committee.

2. Technological requirements for the use of RAPI

The browsers to be used preferentially for the optimal functioning of the platform are:

  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Google Chrome

Pop-up windows and cookies must be activated in the browser you use.

3. Reports to be issued by the thesis director and the tutor

Each thesis director and tutor must issue their mandatory report for the evaluation of the doctoral student assigned to them, and upload it to the RAPI platform.

This individual report does not require a signature, as it is considered signed with the user and the key agreed upon by the PDI and the University of Lleida, which give access to the RAPI.

4. Is it possible to issue a joint report by all the thesis supervisors?

The thesis director and the tutor can issue a report jointly. In this case, the Joint Report model must be used for the annual follow-up of the doctoral student of the Doctoral School. This report requires the signature with digital certificate of all issuers, before uploading it to the RAPI platform.

5. When the thesis director also acts as a tutor, must he upload two follow-up reports?

No, you must select one of two roles to access RAPI. When issuing the rating, you must check the "Use this rating for all my roles" check box. Otherwise, a warning sign will appear because the RAPI will understand that the assessment to be carried out by the other person responsible for the thesis is missing.

6. Within the RAPI platform, you must take into account the corresponding STATUS change:

On the RAPI platform, both doctoral students and thesis supervisors and tutors will have to change their status so that the student assessment documents are validated.

States to be used by the doctoral student

  • Registered: This is the default status when a Training Activity or Research Plan is created. Initial status not visible to the thesis director or the tutor , which allows the editing of the Training Activities and Research Plan fields, until the PhD student completes them and wants to pass them on to supervisors for review
  • For review: Status that allows the doctoral student to make the training activities and the research plan visible to the thesis director and tutor, and therefore, they will no longer be editable by the doctoral student.

States to be used by the thesis director and/or tutor

  • Accepted: Final status that allows the tutor or thesis supervisor to validate and complete the management of the activity or chapter of the research plan.
  • Correction pending: Status that allows the tutor, thesis director or Programme Coordinator to indicate to the doctoral student that there are aspects of the Activity or the Research Plan that require an amendment or improvement. So the fields are once again editable by the PhD student.
  • Rejected: Final status that allows the tutor or thesis director to reject this training activity or the research plan. So this documentation will no longer be evaluated by the Academic Committee, nor can the fields be edited to make changes.
