1. What is the Annual Doctoral Monitoring Assessment?

It is the annual evaluation of the PhD student progress, carried out by the Academic Committee of the Doctoral Programme

2. How many calls are there each academic year?

Each academic year, two calls are held through the virtual campus: the ordinary call and the extraordinary call.

The dates of the calls are listed in the Doctoral procedures calendar published on the website of the Doctorate School.

The Academic Committee of each Programme can make the call for evaluation with specific requirements in its field, through the Virtual Campus.

3. Who must be evaluated in the ordinary call (first call of the academic year)?

All doctoral students, enrolled in the 1st year until December 31, must appear in general at the 1st call. If they do not show up, they lose this evaluation call.

All doctoral students enrolled in the 2nd year and following, enrolled in the current academic year.

4. Who must be evaluated during the extraordinary call (second call of the academic year)?

All PhD students enrolled in the current academic year, who have yet to pass the annual evaluation of the course.

5. When is the annual assessment resolved?

The Academic Committee issues the qualification and enters it into RAPI, within the period provided for in the Doctoral procedures calendar published on the website of the Doctorate School. From that date, interested persons will be able to consult RAPI on the qualification obtained by the PhD student.

6. What are the assessment grades?

Doctoral students must pass the annual assessment in order to continue with their doctoral studies.

The committees can grant the following grades:

- Pass

- Conditional pass

- Fail

- Not submitted

- Not assessable

In this link  you can check each rating and its description.

7. What happens when the doctoral student does not pass the annual assessment?

The doctoral student has two calls for evaluation each academic year. If the doctoral student receives the grade of "Fail" and/or " Not submitted " in two consecutive calls, this will be grounds for definitive withdrawal from the doctoral Programme.
